Now that my new EP has been out for a week, the time to really hit the promotion bandwagon has come. As stated in a previous blog post, I have already started getting flyers out to various cities in a number of States. But, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Release review requests are starting to get sent out. Not only that, but a few radio hot spots are starting to feature the new music as well.

For example, Back Row Radio is now featuring the new release.

That’s pretty cool if you ask me.

With the New Year only a few weeks away a few people have asked me what to expect with the new project next year. Well, now that the studio has been up and going for a bit now, I have become fairly proficient with Cubase 9.5. That in no way indicates that I’m a master at it. Not even close.

What you can expect from me between now and the summer of 2019 is the following. I plan to start blogging more regularly about silly things like music, faith, and politics. It’s not that any of that stuff is relevant to A Martyr’s Oath as a project. But, I enjoy posting about the things that interest me.

As for recording, I feel that I have become familiar enough with the recording software now. With that, my intention with the New Year is going to be to record a three song EP that will be pitched to a few indie Deathcore Labels for release in the summer of 2019. I already have the bones of two songs written. I just need to sit down, refine the songs, and spend time recording a final take for each of those songs. This leaves me with only one song left to do for the final EP. My goal is to have the EP completed by April. This will give me a few months to pitch the EP to various labels before it gets released that summer.
